in memory of
August 22, 1952- March 2, 2024
Jack Godhwani was more than the founder of Godhwani Realty; he was a pillar of the Indian-American community in North Texas. His spirit of service, leadership, and generosity touched countless lives in Dallas and beyond. A devoted husband, father, friend, and civic leader, Jack passed away in 2024 leaving behind a legacy of compassion, community, and integrity.
Born in Lucknow, India, Jack came to the Dallas area many decades ago, building his life here with resolve, vision, and devotion to both his family and his community. For more than three decades, he was a driving force in strengthening Indian cultural identity, fostering unity, and promoting civic engagement across North Texas.
Jack’s professional life in real estate and marketing was marked by the same values he carried into all his endeavors- honesty, diligence, and a constant desire to uplift those around him.
At his core, Jack was a simple man who found joy in family and togetherness. He cherished every moment spent with his loved ones and took immense pride in their happiness and accomplishments. He was elated when his children married and found his true calling as “Nanu” and “Dadu” when he became a grandfather.
Jack was taken from this world far too soon by cancer, a loss deeply felt by all who knew him. He is survived by his beloved wife, Indu, his children Jaya & Ravi, and his daughter and son-in-law Tara & Shovaen, along with his four grandchildren who carry forward his boundless love, laughter, and wisdom.
